Qisum Project
In an effort to create a musician-to-musician space that fosters collaboration and free expression, I am developing Qisum – a music sharing platform without the constraints of algorithms or commercial interests.
Today, musicians can share their music with the world on platforms like SoundCloud, watch music videos on YouTube, and share released and live performance information on X and Facebook. Instagram brings these moments to the timeline in real-time, while live streaming has become a more established way to engage with audiences. The world is flooded with information, and music has become just another part of that flow.
There are countless platforms for listeners, but there is no space where musicians can freely express themselves and connect with each other. This led to my creating Qisum – a place for musicians to communicate through sound, without the pressure of commercial expectations or massive audiences.
Musicians, too, are busy, and it's often difficult to discover new music every day. That's why each day, Qisum recommends two songs. You can listen to just one of them, and if you like it, you can leave a message or a like. If you feel like replying, you can—if not, you don't have to. It's a free-spirited platform designed specifically for musicians who want to connect and communicate on their own terms.
This is the vision for Qisum—a place where musicians can engage in a casual, no-pressure environment. The development of the project is still ongoing, and we're continuously refining the model and features while gathering feedback from musicians to ensure it becomes a true space that meets their needs —creating a community built by musicians, for musicians.
